Senior Project Survey

Students will develop a topic for the following design project, CMET 49000. Students will establish project scope, general and specific objectives, literature review and background, and establish time schedules for completion of the project. Students are encouraged to develop alternate proposals. Students will analyze a previously completed senior project. Typically offered Fall Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Device alternatives for Projects to be develop which will include research, analysis and design and/or production of graphical and written material. 2. Survey topic of interest to be developed during Senior Project (CEMT 49000). 3. Generate general and specific objectives and goals for the selected senior project proposal. 4. Gather information appropriate to the problem by employing rigorous research procedures while utilizing a theoretical framework. 5. Complete a literature search and review on the background of the project chosen to be developed, including procedures, standards, codes, regulations at national and local level. 6. Document the research and development activity in a manner that permits replication and assessment of key decisions and alternatives. 7. Write effectively in a form customary to research, business and industry. 8. Generate formal scheduling of tasks for the selected proposal to be executed during Senior Project (CEMT 49000). 9.
