Catalog description

This course is an introduction to Web design and development. It provides an overview of the Internet, intranets, and extranets. Students learn how to use the Web Development Life Cycle and how to test Web sites for usability. Students use Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and other Web programming languages to create Web pages. The focus is on the impact of Web technology on businesses today. Extensive lab exercises on introductory and advanced Web development techniques are assigned. Typically offered Fall. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 21100 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. Describe the differences between the Internet, intranet, and extranet and how each is used today in business. 2. Apply HTML guidelines to Web development assignments. 3. Exhibit the ability to use the Web Development Life Cycle throughout the Web page/site development process. 4.
