Catalog description

The development of a working knowledge of lighting three dimensional scenes, including light sources, shadow, color, texture, cinematography, and atmospheric effects in architecture, product illustration, and animation. Emphasis will be placed on lighting design, analysis, and rendering for 3D graphics applications. Prerequisite(s): CGT 24100 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C AND CGT 11600 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C Course Learning Outcomes 1. Complete guided exercises to learn the basic concepts of lighting & compositing. 2. Observe, photograph and paint reference imagery of real-world lighting scenarios. 3. Analyze professional examples of lighting to understand the desired outcomes. 4. Understand how to use state-of-the-art Shading, Lighting, Compositing and Animation packages. 5. Assemble and texture scenes for lighting. 6.
