Catalog description

Analysis and design of beams, one-way slabs, and columns. Design of building frames using pattern loading and moment coefficients. Typically offered Fall Spring. Prerequisite(s): CE 33400 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Be able to design reinforced concrete beams subjected to transverse loading. 2. Be able to design reinforced concrete one way slabs subjected to transverse loading. 3. Be able to design reinforced concrete short columns subjected to axial and flexural loading. 4. Be able to design reinforced concrete spread square footings subjected to axial loadings. 5. Be able to design a simple reinforced concrete structural system. 6.
