An introduction to the internal operations and external environment of contemporary business. Consideration is also given to the social economic role of business in our society. The basic business functions and role of management are also discussed. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Explain business activities and how they impact our everyday lives. 2. Explain basic business concepts, theories and techniques and how they apply in our local, national and internal affairs. 3. Discuss how a company’s policies and decisions affect its corporate social responsibility. 4. Identify three basic strategies of international business. 5. Identify various leadership styles. 6.
