This course explores the application of Decision Support Systems (DSS), Expert Systems (ES), and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) to a company’s strategic decision-making process. Topics include the decision-making process, decision contexts and types, expert system opportunities, knowledge management, and the roles of decision-making tools. Typically offered Fall Spring. Know the core concepts, methods, techniques, and tools for computer support of knowledge management. 4. Understand how to apply and integrate appropriate components and functions of various knowledge management systems. 5. Be prepared for further study in knowledge generation, engineering, and transfer, and in the representation, organization, and exchange of knowledge. 6.
