Catalog description

This course provides an overview of health information and health informatics, a field of computing focused on improving health care delivery. The key components of information systems and health informatics are introduced including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Personal Health Records (PHRs). How technology and regulations are applied in the delivery of health care are explored.
