This course explores the theoretical and conceptual foundations of psychological testing, measurement, and assessment. You will learn about test construction and psychometrics while examining various assessment tools for intelligence, educational, personality, addiction, forensic psychology, neuropsychology, and industrial and organizational psychology contexts. Key topics include: historical, cultural, legal, and ethical considerations; a refresher on essential statistics; and an analysis of reliability, validity, and utility. The course covers test development, specialized assessments, and ethical implications in administration and interpretation.
