Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth look at the conceptual underpinnings and methodologies of psychological research. You will explore qualitative and quantitative research methods, learn about data analysis, and apply concepts to explain the components of research studies. Topics include the Scientific Method, issues in experimental psychology, evaluation of internal and external validity, ethical considerations, and responsibilities in writing and reporting research findings. You will also learn how to become critical evaluators of research.
