Catalog description

This course provides a broad overview of the history and purpose of human services, along with theoretical perspectives that inform current policies and trends in the field. It prepares you for human service delivery, advocacy, and leadership, focusing on areas such as the scope of work, duties, and functions of human service professionals. An emphasis is placed on examining social systems, ethics, multiculturalism, and interventions related to human services delivery for families, communities, and social services organizations in heterogeneous practice settings.
