This course introduces you to the legal and ethical issues involving the health care system and health care providers. Areas covered include licensing and discipline; informed consent; confidentiality; patient-professional relationships; the liability of health care professionals and institutions; patient safety; health care coverage; fraud and abuse; and beginning-of-life and end-of-life issues.
