This course evaluates the privacy protections, regulations, and technologies essential to safeguarding health information. You will critique consent and authorization guidelines and evaluate third-party vendor compliance with health data privacy regulations. Topics include formulating enterprise data de-identification protocols for secondary research and constructing management strategies for responding to breaches of unsecured personal health information (PHI).
