Catalog description
This is an intensive doctoral seminar designed for those who have completed all foundational doctoral coursework, including introductory seminars in marketing, advanced qualitative and quantitative methods, and the prerequisite Applied Business Research Design and Methodology course. The primary goal of this course is to expose you to critical and emerging areas of research across the field of marketing, facilitating the identification of a relevant and impactful doctoral research project or article topic. The seminar moves beyond textbook knowledge, focusing instead on in-depth reviews and critical discussions of seminal and cutting-edge research articles that define the current research frontier. You will engage in rigorous analysis of the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and future research opportunities within several specialized marketing domains. The course structure is designed to help you transition from consumers of research to producers of scholarly work. Work done in this course prepares you to select and develop a future project proposal.
