This course provides an in-depth, advanced exploration of research methodologies tailored specifically for applied doctoral research within the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. The course equips you with the foundational and specialized knowledge necessary for conducting rigorous, impactful, and relevant academic research that addresses complex, real-world business challenges. You will critically examine qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches, gaining insight into their philosophical underpinnings and practical applications within business administration and management science. The course places significant emphasis on research design, guiding you through the process of refining DBA-level research questions that successfully bridge theory and professional practice, selecting the appropriate methodologies to address organizational problems, and employing effective sampling and advanced data collection techniques, which may include large-scale database analysis, advanced econometric modeling, archival research, structured interviewing, action research, and ethnographic approaches, among others.
