Catalog description

This course familiarizes you with the chemical composition, structure and function of the four major macromolecules of life - proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. Studies include unique chemical characteristics, nomenclature, regulatory control, and functions of each class of molecules. These molecules will be studied in the context of normal metabolism, as well as during dysregulated states such as genetic disorders and cancer.
