Catalog description

This course examines the roles of creators, audiences, and institutions within contemporary mass media systems, including print, broadcasting, film, social media, streaming platforms, podcasts, and other emerging digital technologies. Emphasis is placed on media literacy, social media dynamics, misinformation, generative artificial intelligence, media law, and ethics. The course includes critical analysis and engagement with multimedia tools to examine how mass media functions within society and adapts to the evolving technological landscape.
