Catalog description

PSY 12000, and either PSY 20100 or STAT 24000 or STAT 30100, both with grades of C- or better. Instructor permission required. This course will introduce students to the field of clinical neuropsychology. It will cover basic principles related to testing and measurement of human memory in class, and students will gain an understanding of the practice of neuropsychological assessment via observations they complete in a community field placement. Course topics will include: principles of testing and measurement, theoretical models of human memory, basic neuroanatomy of memory, memory disorders, and ethics related to psychological testing.
