Catalog description
P: Instructor permission required. Open to all university students, contingent upon successful audition. A collaborative ensemble where students implement skills developed on their primary or secondary instrument into a “popular music” setting, typically comprised of a rhythm section, vocalists, and soloists as available. Emphasis placed on writing and reading charts, roles within an ensemble, listening skills, and professional expectations in the music industry. May be repeated for credit.
