Commercial Applied Piano

Catalog description

P: Department permission required. Restricted to students admitted to a program in the School of Music. This course is private, 25-minute applied lessons at the 100-level that includes a focus on an elementary knowledge of written music, both notation and chord symbols, a working knowledge of major scales, and how to voice chords in an improvisational setting. Open to music minors, students taking a secondary instrument, Musical Theatre students in their first three semesters of study, and other non-music majors.
