P: ET 20000 and MET 10400. The design and analysis of machine components with emphasis on safety factors based on various failure theories in consideration of fluctuating loads, stress concentration, and other factors affecting failure. A study of standard machine elements such as brakes, clutches, belts, chains, gears, screws, springs, and bearings; their application, operational behavior, efficiency, economy, and standardization.
