Catalog description

P: ENGL 50501 with grade of C- or better. This is a practicum for teaching assistants (TA’s) in the Department of English and Linguistics who have successfully completed ENGL 50501 and are in either their first or second semester of teaching composition for the Writing Program. The class focuses on issues involving teaching writing as they arise for the TAs in the college classroom. Subject matter is largely student-driven but mentor-guided to assist and enhance teaching.
