Catalog description
This course examines the knowledge, skills and dispositions of an effective teacher concerning issues and trends in the field of elementary teaching, specifically in the areas of curriculum and instruction. Candidates will study curriculum terminology and instructional planning issues, develop an instructional plan to effectively implement and assess elementary curriculum, demonstrate the capacity to provide individualized instruction, and successfully deploy culturally responsive teaching methods in the classroom.
