Catalog description

Registration is restricted to candidates in the Transition to Teaching - ALL Grades program. This course examines the knowledge, skills and dispositions of an effective teacher concerning issues and trends in P-12 education, specifically in the areas of curriculum and instruction. Candidates will study curriculum terminology and instructional planning issues, develop an instructional plan to effectively implement and assess elementary and secondary curricula, demonstrate the capacity to provide individualized instruction, and successfully deploy culturally responsive teaching methods in the classroom.
