Restricted to counseling majors. This course provides a comprehensive theoretical and experiential foundation in group counseling. Recognizing that effective group work requires specialized skills, students will closely examine different types of groups, including process and psychoeducational styles, and their respective applications across diverse settings. The curriculum covers group purpose, development, dynamics, techniques, and ethical skills. Through group sessions and other experiential activities, beginning-stage group leaders will gain practical experience in conducting and leading groups.
