Catalog description

This course examines the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of effective secondary teachers with an emphasis on curriculum development, instructional planning, and evidence-based teaching practices. Candidates analyze the Science of Reading (SoR) and its application in adolescent learning contexts, explore disciplinary literacy across content areas, and design instructional plans aligned to standards while applying culturally responsive and individualized strategies to assess and support student learning.
