Restricted to counseling majors. This course provides a comprehensive overview of major contemporary counseling theories and their associated concepts and practices. Recognizing that effective counseling demands a solid theoretical base, students will critically analyze diverse foundational models and examine their application to client developmental and psychopathological issues. The course structure encourages students to begin formulating their own coherent theoretical orientation, which serves as the foundation for clinical application and skill development in subsequent practical courses.
