Catalog description

The Elementary STEM Practicum is designed to provide candidates completing the Elementary STEM licensure with an opportunity for apprenticeship with a master STEM teacher. In the apprenticeship model, candidates are expected to increase their ability to participate in the community of practice, beginning with the mastery of skills at the periphery of the profession and completing a trajectory that sees them engaging in all of the practices as the lead STEM teacher. Permission of department required.
