Catalog description

C: EDU 40120. This course focuses on the theory, instructional methods, materials, technology, and assessment strategies related to listening, speaking, reading, and writing for students in grades 3-6. Brain processing and cognition as to how children develop reading proficiency will be examined and applied to instructional pedagogy. Comprehension, critical analysis, writing, and integration of ideas presented in various print forms across subject matter are emphasized. Experiential learning in a classroom setting required.
