Catalog description

P: Electrical Engineering Technology B.S. major or Computer Engineering Technology B.S. major with junior or higher class standing. This course introduces project management concepts within the context of engineering technology and senior design. Topics include the project life cycle, project initiation, team formation, planning, review, execution, and project monitoring and control. Students examine resource allocation, cost estimation, risk management, and the use of project management and collaboration tools. Emphasis is placed on applying these methods to the planning and development of senior design projects, including proposal development, scheduling, documentation, and system integration. The course incorporates case studies and project simulations. Students present their senior design project plans through written reports and oral presentations.
