P: CS 23200 and CS 27100. The design and implementation of modern multiprocessing operating systems. Topics include concurrent programming, real and virtual storage allocation, resource allocation and deadlock prevention and avoidance, job scheduling, and analytic modeling. Students will complete projects involving concurrency and implement a portion of a multiprocessing operating system.
