Analysis of typical genres in film and television, such as horror, melodrama, westerns, science fiction, situation comedies, etc. Problems of general description or definition; themes and conventions; iconography peculiar to given genres. May be repeated with a different topic for a maximum of six credits. Additional screening times will be required.
