Catalog description
P: Non-Art and Design major. Students will learn various basic fabricating techniques using non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, silver) on a small object/jewelry scale. Processes studied will include silver brazing with acetylene gas touches, metal stretching and forming by hand using polished hammers, wax working, and silver lost-wax casting. No credit toward any degree program in the Department of Art and Design, except as liberal arts electives.
