To familiarize the student with modern approaches to: a) The study of protozoan parasites of medical relevance, b) Worldwide important diseases caused by protozoan parasites. The student will become familiar with recent published literature relevant to the course and the critical analysis of published materials as well as interpretations of results. ZOME 8513 - Laboratory Methods in Parasitology. One (1) credit. The most refined laboratory methods and techniques specially those concerning each candidate’s special problem.
