Catalog description

Pre-requisites: MICR 4006. In this course clinical practice experience in the microbiology area at an affiliated institution, is provided. The student will practice in a laboratory setting with patient’s samples, applying principles of clinical laboratory science to perform, analyze and report analytical procedures. Emphasis will be given to experience with modern automated instrumentation, working within a Total Quality Assurance Program and use of a Laboratory Information System.
