Catalog description

Pre-requisites: TMED 4021, TMED 4022. In this course, a clinical practice experience in Hematology area at an affiliated institution is provided. The students will practice in a laboratory setting with patient’s samples, applying principles of clinical laboratory science to perform, analyze an d report analytical procedures. Emphasis will be given to experience with modern automated instrumentation, working within a Total Quality Assurance Program and use of a Laboratory Information System.
