Clinical Practice in Biochemistry

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: TMED 4001, TMED 4002. In this course, clinical practice experience in clinical biochemistry area at an affiliated institution is provided. The students will practice in a laboratory setting with patient’s samples, applying principles of clinical laboratory science to perform, analyze and report analytical procedures. Emphasis will be given to experience with modern automated instrumentation, working within a total quality assurance program and use of a laboratory information system.
