Catalog description
This clinical experience course will provide students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in the theoretical courses prerequisites. Supervised experiences in ophthalmology settings; hospitals, private clinics, operating room, and non-traditional sceneries is provided. In these clinical settings, the student will perform and learn, under the supervision of the ophthalmologist or clinical supervisor a diversity of diagnostic procedures and to assist the ophthalmologist in minor and mayor oc ular surgeries. In addition, the student will expose and will learn to use different programs of electronic medical records. Furthermore, the students will be exposed to work with peers, interdisciplinary professional groups, and diversity of patients.
