Catalog description
Pre-requisite: TEOC 6005 Through lectures and discussions, this course provides basic knowledge of the structure, organization and function of the central nervous system in relation to disease and behavior. It addresses the areas of sensory processing, motor control, and nervous control of visceral functions, plasticity and cognitive function, among others. It is expected that the Occupational Therapy student acquire a framework for understanding the nervous system as a basis to more advanced and detailed study in the area of Applied Neuroscience.
