Pre -requisites: Courses of First and Second Year, comprehensive test, internship. The purpose of this course is to enable the student to develop or acquire such knowledge, skills, and attitudes as required for the development and implementation of a research project proposal that will result in improvements in Public Health practices, in his or her area of specialization. Each student will provide an oral presentation of the project and will actively participate in the conduct of the study, under the supervision of a doctoral dissertation committee. As a minimum, this committee will be c onstituted by one department faculty member (president), a statistician (if required), a specialist in the subject matter, and two reviewers. The course includes individual and group meetings and discussions with the dissertation committee, independent research and preparation of written materials. SALP 8025 - Leadership Seminar. One (1) credit. The purpose of the course is to analyze the principal leadership theoretical models and approaches and the application in the field of Public Health.
