, 200 hours. Pre - requisites: All the fundamental and specialty courses of the doctoral program. This practice experience offers doctoral students the opportunity to apply in a real world setting the theory, leadership, and problem-solving skills in an integrative manner. This 200-hour field experience is required to all students, regardless of prior work experience. The Practicum project will be designed so that the student has the principal responsibility, along with a team of collaborators in the site. Relevant organizations that could be Practicum sites include governmental, non­ governmental, non -profit, industrial and for -profit settings. At the end of course, student is expected to present a project that is meaningful for the organization and to the advance of the public healt h practice with a reflective statement about their experience and lessons learned in Practicum. The Practicum may be carried in or out-site Puerto Rico settings. SALP 8007 - Bioethics and Public Health Practice. One (1) credit.
