Catalog description

A general course in Radiation Biology designed to acquaint the student with the effects of radiation on living matter including elementary forms of life and higher organisms as well, dose -effect relationship, target theory, and linear energy transfer tempe rature, and oxygen effect. Biological effects of radiation on a mammal or human from the physiological and pathological point of view. Special emphasis is placed on dose- effect relationship, effects due to acute and chronic exposures, radiation, sickness and late effects, etc.
