Pre-requisite: PERI 9228. In this course the third-year graduate student is expected to provide clinical services at least 25 new cases. At the same time, the student must document the discussion of medical history, diagnosis, treatment planning, complete therapy, and outcomes. Likewise, it must include the alternatives of periodontal therapy, rehabilitation of partially or totally edentulous patients with implants, as well as related dental disciplines, which adapt to the physical, psychological and economic needs of the patient. T he course enables students to provide therapy to various types of periodontal diseases, e.g., gingivitis, aggressive periodontal cases, and others. At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate mastery of the skills acquired in the various periodontal therapies implemented. The course will be face-to-face. PERI 9340 - Clinical Supervision Rotation. One (1) credit. Pre-requisite: PERI 9228. In this course, the third-year graduate student will participate as a clinical instructor of periodontic patients as part of the evaluation.
