Periodontal Diagnosis and Treatment Planning III

Catalog description
Pre-requisite: PERI 9221. In this course, the third-year graduate student will continue to critically analyzing and practice the phases of periodontal evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as describe the progression of each phase. In addition, through group discussions and interactive lectures, students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge on topics about the latest diagnostic, clinical and radiological evaluation techniques including: the use of panoramic X-rays, periapical X-rays, subtraction radiography, cone beam X-rays, genetics and intrasulcular fluid analysis. With special emphasis the planning and modalities of treatment will also be discussed. At the end of the course, the student is expected to develop a treatment plan independently. The course will be offered in face-to-face mode.
