Current Periodontal Literature Seminar III

Catalog description
Pre-requisite: PERI 9205. This course is aimed at the third-year graduate student and focuses mainly on the review and understanding of the updated literature on the current diagnostic methods and treatment modalities in the practice of surgical sciences in periodontology. Each stu dent will carry out a critical analysis of the assigned scientific articles and will prepare a presentation that will be presented to the faculty and their classmates in a round table. Through the group discussions generated in the presentation of the arti cles, students will have the opportunity to share the learning acquired. In this way, students are expected to achieve extensive knowledge about the latest treatment modalities that are being developed in Periodontics with the purpose of applying it in their clinical practice experience and thus substantiate the rationale of treatment. The course will be offered in face-to-face mode.
