Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce the first -year master's student in periodontology to pertinent didactic information on periodontal therapy. Through seminars, presentations, and faculty interactive lectures is expected that the student will be able to discuss different aspects of periodontology, emphasizing diagnosis, therapy and pathology. Topics, such as: anatomy of the periodontium, cell and molecular biology, epidemiology and etiology, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, maintenance, and outcome asses sment, among others, will also be discussed. At the end of this course the student will be able to master a treatment plan. This course will be offered in face-to-face mode.
