Children with Special Health Care Needs

Catalog description

This course involves the formal study of children’s developmental disabilities, their etiology, diagnosis, and treatment. It also includes the study of physical, systemic, and behavioral disorders that are commonly encountered in children and adult patient s that require special attention by the dentist. Emphasis is also given to the adjustments made in the treatment plan employed in the management of these patients.
