Catalog description

Pre-requisites: FISA 8105, FISA 8215. This course offers students the basic concepts of renal physiology, emphasizing the human kidney. The topics to be discussed include the distribution of body fluids, glomerular filtration, the control of sodium and water balance, and its regulation by the endocrine system, acid -base balance, and potassium balance. Besides, participating students will make presentations on published work in the area of renal physiology.
