Inpatient Pharmaceutical Care: General Medicine Practice

Catalog description

Pre -requisite: Students are required to be classified in 4th Professional Year. This practice provides the student with comprehensive in -depth experience in the provision of pharmaceutical care in the acute patient setting in collaboration with other health care professionals. Its emphasis is the pharmacist's responsibility in the prevention, detection and solution of pharmacotherapeutic problems found in general medicine patients, through a systematic pharmacist delivered patient care process. The student will gather pertinent information, evaluate pharmacotherapeutic problems, develo p and document care plans including specific results achieved in the patient. The main instructional methodology is practice-based learning. Grading system: Passed (P), Not Passed (NP) since August 2013.
