Catalog description

Pre -requisite: Students are required to be classified in 4th Professional Year. This practice provides opportunities for comprehensive, in -depth experience in administration and medication use process improvement within institutional pharmacy practice. Its emphasis is the pharmacist's responsibility in the administrative aspects of th e prevention, detection, and solution of pharmacotherapeutic problems found in health care institutions. The student participates in activities related to the management of the pharmacy department and optimization of the medication use process such as medication formulary management, medication use evaluations, and adverse drug events/medication error programs. The main instructional methodology is practice based learning. Grading system: Passed (P), Not Passed (NP) since August 2013.
