Clinical Skills Development for Evaluation of Inpatients

Catalog description

Pre -requisites: FARM 7225, FARM 7226, FARM 7228, FARM 7229. This elective course will allow the student to apply skills in collecting, analyzing and evaluating information to develop a treatment plan in hospitalized patients. The student will integrate the skills and knowledge acquired in previous and concurrent co urses such as concepts of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy to perform a systematic and structured assessment of drug-therapy problems. The student will use critical thinking in the analysis of scientific literature, identifying prioritie s for the development of appropriate pharmaceutical interventions and the development of treatment plans and documentation. Active learning methodologies are used.
